After discovering 4 others earlier this month, officials at a national park in Phang Nga have discovered one other turtles’ nest, complete with 73 fertilised eggs. The officers work for Khao Lampi Hat-Thai Muang National Park, and located the nest on Thai Muang Beach. Exclusive saw the mother turtle’s on the seaside early in the morning yesterday. They found the nest after they searched the seaside.
The officers then moved all of the eggs in entrance of the park’s workplace to guard them from getting broken by the surf. They count on the eggs to hatch inside 55-60 days. The mother turtle’s tracks point out that her shell was smaller than many turtles who had laid eggs on the seaside prior to now. One of the nests discovered earlier this month had 106 wholesome eggs. In February, another turtle in Phang Nga laid seventy five eggs, sixty six of which hatched.
With an absence of vacationers because of Covid-19, sea turtles are thriving in some elements of Thailand. In 2020, 838 baby sea turtles hatched in Koh Samui, where their numbers had fallen drastically. Empty seashores imply there’s more nesting space, and new hatchlings are safe and free to waddle out to the sea after they hatch..
