Following its bulletins of 5 May 2021 updating the New Industrial Strategy proposed in 2020, the European Commission has further indicated that it is going to rely fairly closely on business to deliver on the most important challenges faced by our economies and societies in Europe. This is especially the case in relation to sustainability, digital transformation, and global competitiveness, in addition to the want to overcome the disaster provoked by the Covid-19 pandemic. Specific Technical and Policy Issues
