Pro-democracy protest chief, Parit “Penguin” Chiwarak, has been freed on three months’ bail after proving to the Bangkok South Criminal Court that he needs to take a seat last university exams. The court had refused to grant bail till the Faculty of Political Science at Thammasat University issued Parit with a certificates to show his status. Thai PBS World reports that bail was set at 200,000 baht and the activist has been released till May 24.
