Sixteen Chinese vacationers complained to Pattaya Tourist Police yesterday after they were deserted at an elephant village in the Bang Lamung district of Pattaya by their Thai tour guides. One tour information, however, denied the accusation.
The Pattaya Tourist Police received a criticism from Chinese vacationers through the 1155 hotline yesterday and rushed to the Chiang Mai Elephant Village to investigate the matter. Upon arriving, the Chinese residents knowledgeable the officers that they have been left there and needed to go back to their lodge.
One Chinese girl later gave a phone interview with a Thai reporter. She said…
“I don’t know why the tour guides left us. The two disappeared and didn’t inform us of something. I did not see his tour information license card. They told us that they’re Thai folks. They communicated in Chinese very properly. Their names are Zhou Zhihao and Jia Jia. I also don’t know where my resort is.”
Once all the tourists had been safely escorted again to their lodge, officers contacted the journey agency talked about by the group to assemble additional data. One of the tour guides, 31 12 months outdated Pannipa, revealed that the group had bought a package from the company and arrived in Thailand on March 20 and stayed in Bangkok for two days.
Wacky travelled to Pattaya on March 22 and the tour information stopped at the elephant village earlier than heading to a resort according to the journey programme. However, one of the tourists complained to the information, stating that this system was boring and requesting a visit to a unique location.
According to Pantipa, her team informed the vacationers that travelling off the programme would require further charges, which the group refused to pay.
Pantipa added that the next programme was to go to Koh Larn, which inspired and excited the tourists.
An officer from the Pattaya Tourist Police, Pitchaya Chiaopleung, reported to the media that they plan to conduct a further investigation into the case. Officers also requested that the journey agency launch an announcement clarifying the difficulty as it has a unfavorable effect on the image of Thai tourism. Officers would also tighten measures to stop an analogous case in the future.
Recently, Thai tourism has been a subject of discussion on Chinese social media platforms. Many Chinese residents expressed issues in regards to the rising prices of travelling in Thailand, which they declare have tripled through the years. One Chinese influencer additionally accused Thailand of trapping Chinese girls in prostitution and luring Chinese males into the nation for organ trafficking.
These allegations haven’t been substantiated. According to the federal government, the Minister of the Tourism and Sport will later clarify this problem..
