The highly skilled web site group at AJT Engineering has recently completed the installation of a model new 30″ Main Inlet Valve for a client’s small hydro power station.
The new VAG Group EKN Hydropower butterfly valve, combined with a Rotork SI-3 failsafe actuator, now provides the shopper with full automation in comparison with the earlier handbook operation.
AJT designed, manufactured and put in a model new spool piece in-house to match current head to head dimensions. Massive supplied designs for a support for the Rotork actuators substantial failsafe spring mechanism – this too was then fabricated by AJT at our facilities in Aberdeen.
The installation was then finished off with new galvanised handrailing to guard from the pit opening.
