A sixty four year outdated man who had been struck by a rubber bullet fired during one of the violent clashes with police at Bangkok’s Din Daeng space again in August died after several months of being bedridden. The Din Daeng space had been the site of quite a few clashes between police and anti-government protesters, notably a young group referred to as “Thalugas” which suggests “mob via tear gasoline.”
A rubber bullet hit Mana Hongthong within the head as he was strolling to his condo on Maitri Road, based on the Centre of Thai Lawyers for Human Rights. Reports say the bullet is believed to have been fired by crowd control police during a conflict with the group Thalugas, who’ve been identified for violent tactics like throwing ping pong bombs at officers. The human rights group says Mana was an harmless bystander.
He suffered serious head injuries and has been bedridden for the reason that incident. Mana died on Saturday at his condo in Din Daeng.
