Integrating its growing range of products into engineered-to-order (ETO) solutions is increasingly a way of life at Weir Minerals. The latest launch of its dredge-mounted Multiflo® Mudflo™ pump exhibits how efficient this method could be, and the way much it can contribute to customers’ backside lines.

WEIR MINERALS INTEGRATES KEY BRANDS IN MUDFLOW™ PUMP
Integrated solutions are what separates tools suppliers from answer providers, argues Marnus Koorts, general supervisor pump merchandise at Weir Minerals Africa – and the recently launched Multiflo® Mudflo™ pump shows how this is done.
This dredge/excavator-mounted, mud-pumping innovation was launched last 12 months, after being developed in response to a problem which a customer faced, says Koorts. It is a heavy duty hydraulic submersible slurry pump designed for abrasive purposes and large particle dealing with. Its application is primarily in reprocessing and relocating tailings ponds, sustaining water retention dams and managing slimes and sludge ponds.
“The Multiflo Mudflo pump successfully combines parts of the Warman MGS submersible slurry pump-end, and a custom Multiflo designed bearing assembly coupled to a hydraulic motor,” he says. “Another key ingredient is the pairing of dual Multiflo CB33 hydraulic cutters with Weir ESCO excavation enamel.”
The cutters mechanically agitate the settled solids, permitting abrasive and highly charged slurries and dirt to be effectively pumped. He emphasises that the elements making up the Multiflo® Mudflo™ pump are drawn from Weir Minerals confirmed manufacturers, and are carefully mixed to supply an integrated resolution that saves clients money and time. It also reduces environmental impact, by avoiding the costly and energy-intensive course of excavating and trucking the fabric off site.
“The pump design consists of Weir Minerals’ Ultrachrome A05 chrome alloy casting for high put on resistance,” he says. “There can also be a suction strainer to prevent excessively massive particles clogging the pump.”
This ensures that the unit delivers optimal uptime alongside high efficiency ranges: the Mudflo™ 200 pump is capable of pumping between a hundred and fifty m3/h and 1,200 m3/h, as much as a head of 82 metres. The pump can deal with a maximum particle size of 80 mm, and a maximum liquid temperature of 35°C.
“While our integration of merchandise has grown organically through the years, it has turn into extra systematic and deliberate as our product range has grown and become extra numerous,” says Koorts. “The method we’ve developed this solution exhibits the progress lately toward integrating our product traces to add worth to our choices.”
He notes that the method of ETO ensures that options developed by Weir Minerals’ engineering groups deliver extra worth than the sum of their element elements. In pressure gauge digital ราคา , the company’s dewatering specialists were able to draw on the most effective expertise from Weir Minerals’ Multiflo®, Warman® and Weir ESCO® brands – combining them with advanced hydraulics to create an progressive end result.
“Our extensive footprint in the area and our shut collaboration with customers every day provides us an in depth understanding of their specific requirements,” he says. “We can due to this fact be certain that our improvements are match for purpose, being primarily based on our considerable ETO functionality and technical excellence.”
